Infant Shealynn Olivia Currie of Galesburg passed away at 10:50 a.m., Thursday
November, 6 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born to parents Lucas Currie and Ashley McGee on August 12, 2014 in
Galesburg. Even though Shealynn's time on Earth was short, she touched the
hearts of all, and left a lasting memory.
She is also survived by brothers, Adam, Lomac III, Lucas Jr., Lucas Jr.,
Michael, Martavun, Detrell, Lavi, Limari, LaVaruz, LaJayceon, and Imari;
sisters, Jumaria, Chasity, Lukilia, Trinity, Dezi, and LaNaijah; maternal
grandparents, Hazel Stewart. Roger Stewart, and Dale Brown, paternal
grandparents; Rose James, Joe James, Bobby Hamilton; stepfather Eric McGee;
stepmother Kimberly Currie; aunts and uncles Dennis (Mariah) Smith, Alicia
Stone, Joanna Currie, Jocelyn Currie, Ernest Currie, Antonio (Tiffany) Evans,
Lutredze Evans, Mario Roberts, and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles.
Preceded in Death by maternal great grandparents William and Constance Shea,
and cousin Olivia Stewart; paternal great grandparents Lara Currie, Johnny
Mitchell and James Weems.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7p.m. Friday, November 14 at Watson-Thomas
Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be at 11a.m., Saturday,
November 15 at the funeral home. Chaplain Chase Wilhelm and Chaplain Christian
Williams will officiate. Minister Greg Vickers(great uncle) will be performing,
"His Eyes Are on the Sparrow". Repass will be held at the Knoxville American
Legion, 749 Henderson Rd, Knoxville, IL, after services. Food donations may be
brought between 9:30-11a.m. Memorials may be made to the family in care of CSM
Julie Jones. Expressions of sympathy may be given to the family at
