Larry L. Hull, age 75, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 7:48 pm on
December 18, 2014 at the Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. He was
born on December 6, 1939 in Monmouth and is the son of Howard and Erma Tatman
Hull. He was raised in Monmouth and attended Central Junior High, then graduated
from Monmouth High School in the class of 1958. In 1963 Larry entered the Air
Force being stationed in Texas, California, Washington, and Saigon in Viet Nam.
Larry was awarded the National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert
Marksmanship, and Vietnam Service Medal. In 1967, Larry entered the boat
industry in Monmouth where he worked for 32 years at Glastex, Mach 1 Boats, and
Envision Boats, retiring in 2002. Larry was a member of Faith United
Presbyterian Church and the J.W. Clendenin Post 2301 Veterans of Foreign Wars in
Monmouth, Illinois. He enjoyed traveling, music, and a sense of humor. Larry is
survived by two sisters, Donna (Charles) Reyburn and Betty Lind, both of
Galesburg, Illinois, and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents
and two nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be at Warren County Memorial
Park Cemetery on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 am. A memorial fund is being
designated for the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. To leave a condolence
