Sharon K. Schwarz

Sharon K. Schwarz, 66, of Galesburg, died at 6:32 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

She was born September 2, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Charles L. and Darlyne (Wolfing) McKinzie.  She married Robert English.  She later married Roger A. Schwarz on July 21, 1984 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death August 27, 2014.

She is survived by four children, Julie Schwarz of Orlando, Florida, Phillip Schwarz of Naperville, Kari (and Jason) Forster of Morrison, and Erin (and Jeremy) Morris of Galesburg; eight grandchildren, Brendan Hinton, McKinzie Morris, Mason Morris, Emma Youngquist, Makayla Morris, Cooper Schwarz, Chasitee Forster, and Blake Forster; and a sister, Mary Ann Armstrong of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary at the family business, Schwarz Brothers.  She made jewelry and enjoyed selling it at craft shows.  Sharon enjoyed traveling.  She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady in Peoria in 1967.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim Ecklund officiating.  Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.  Graveside service for Roger and Sharon will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Guardian Angels Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
