Deborah K. Lawrence

Deborah K. Lawrence, 62, of Wataga, Illinois, died January 4, 2015 at her sister’s home in Galesburg, Illinois.

She was born on May 21, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Haze A. and Garnett Robinson Sewell. She married Jack Lawrence on October 21, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives of Wataga, Illinois.

Also Surviving is her mother Garnett Sewell of Galesburg, Illinois; three daughters, Donna (Brad) Edwards of Wataga, Illinois, Marci (Dennis) Bengert of Pekin, Illinois, Karie Alsop of Wataga, Illinois; step-children, Cory (Amber) Lawrence of Barstow, California, Paul Lawrence of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kevin Lawrence of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Amanda (Robert Myers) Lawrence of Galesburg, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and one sister, Ruth (Brett) Briney of Galesburg, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Russell, and step-son, John Lawrence IV.

She attended and graduated from Limestone High School in Bartonville, Illinois and attended college.

She worked in the medical field for many years, and then worked for Peoria Charter Company in Peoria, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton, Illinois. Rev. Tom Pisano will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
