Donald R. Westfall Jr., 67,
of Galesburg, died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at home.
He was born March 12, 1947 in
Galesburg, the son of Donald R. and Catherine L. (Perschnick) Westfall Sr. He married Bonnie J. Orwig on June 19, 1970
in Wataga.
He is survived by his wife,
Bonnie; two daughters, Jennifer (and Michael) Davison and Heather (and Dan
Pearson) Stokes, both of Galesburg; three granddaughters, Kierstyn Westfall,
Kassandra Stokes, and Rosalyn Pearson, all of Galesburg; a sister, Connie (and
Ted) Olson of Galesburg; a brother-in-law, Gary Orwig of Galesburg; two
nephews, Corey Orwig of Galesburg and Bryan (and Jennifer) Olson of
Indianapolis, Indiana; and a niece, Marcy (and Matt) Weller of Greenville,
Illinois. He was preceded in death by
his parents.
Don was a custodian at
Nielson Elementary School for the past 22 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in
1966. Don enjoyed NASCAR, bowling,
fishing, Las Vegas, gambling boats, and watching sports on T.V.
He served in the United
States Army in Vietnam.
Visitation will be 5 to 7
p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg
Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m.
Friday at the chapel. Pastor Brian Beert
will officiate and military honors will be provided. Burial will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be
