Marcus Richard Mitchell

Marcus Richard Mitchell, age 34 of Davenport, Iowa died at his home in Davenport, Iowa.

He was born on July 26, 1980, the son of Barbara S. (Pruett) Mitchell and Donald R. Mitchell. He attended Spoon River Valley School receiving his GED at Carl Sandburg College.

He is survived by his mother Barbara S. Mitchel of Maquon, Illinois; his son,
Chase J. Mitchell of Green Valley, Illinois; his sister, Michelle L. (Gary); and nephew Gabriel Bitner of Bettendorf, Iowa; his brother Michael (Gina) Mitchell of Rock Island, Illinois; and his grandfather, Richard Pruett of Maquon, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Virginia Pruett; his father Donald R. Mitchell, and an infant nephew Gavin Bitner.

Marcus was an avid CUBS fan, he always went all out with this Cubs shirt on and glued to the game till the end. He enjoyed golfing when he had the time and was a very talented artist.

Marcus worked for MGM Construction in Rock Island, Illinois.

Private graveside services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 for the family. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for his son’s future education and may be sent to the Funeral Home.
