Paul was born August 18, 1929 in La Fayette, Illinois, the son of Roy and Lulu (Olson) Clague. He married Gloria I. Cain on October 2, 1955 in Williamsfield, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 5, 2010.
He is survived by a son, Keith E. (and Dawn) Clague of East Galesburg, Illinois; two daughters, Paula Clague Edwards and Christine Clague, both of Galesburg; a sister-in-law, Jean Clague of Galesburg; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul Allen Clague in 1959; two brothers, Charles and Lyle; and a sister, Marjorie.
Paul moved to Galesburg in 1947. He worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Union for 44 years, retiring in 1992. He spent three years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in North Africa.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bob Wakefield will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or Guardian Angels Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements.
