Reva A. Kimmitt

Reva A. Kimmitt, age 88, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:38 A.M. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her home.

She was born on June 22, 1927 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Olin and Edna Buck Barbaro. She attended and graduated from Galesburg High School. She married Herman Ladendorf in 1945 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death. She later married Richard Kimmitt in 1977 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death. 

Surviving are her four grandchildren: Erin (Tim) LeCrone of Pekin, Illinois, Toby (Kristy) Ladendorf of Galesburg, Illinois, Jason Ladendorf of Galesburg, Illinois, Melissa (Mark) Leffingwell of Denver, Colorado; and one daughter-in-law, Jane Ladendorf of Pekin, Illinois. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and her loyal pet cat, McPhee. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Terry and Gary, her parents and an infant brother, Donald Barbaro.

She did in home health care.
She was of the Lutheran faith. She sang in two country music bands, Reva and the Bandits and Reva and the Rebels. She was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. She was also a diehard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. She enjoyed country music and had the gift of gab.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2105 at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois.
