Andrew J. Pitman

Andrew J. Pitman, 63, of Galesburg , died at home, Friday December 11, 2015 at 12:19 p.m.

 

  Andrew was born February 20, 1952 in Galesburg , Illinois . He is the son of James and Maxine (O’Brien) Pitman. He is survived by his sister, Susan (Bob) Mills of Muskegon, Michigan and his twin sister, Anne (Dan) Miller of Ely Iowa; special cousins, John (Linda) Krupps of St. Augustine, Joseph (Gina) Krupps of Galesburg, Dr. Barbara Weaver of Chicago and Carol (Doug) Wilson of Washington; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, special aunt and uncle, Bill and Dorothy Krupps, special cousin, Mary R. Krupps.

 

 Andrew was a Costa graduate; he then served in the US Army from 1972-1974 and later graduated from WIU. He worked for the grounds department at Knox College .  Andrew enjoyed bicycling, photography and traveling. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

 

 Visitation will be held Monday December 14, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg . Rosary will be prayed at 4 P.M , Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg .  Father William T. Miller IC will officiate. A private family burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery . Memorials can be directed to St. Vincent De Paul. Expressions of sympathy can be left to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
