Sue E. Steller

Sue E. Steller age 64 of Galesburg, Ill. died Sunday December 27, 2015 at 11:53 AM at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

She was born January 6, 1951 in Galesburg, Ill. the daughter of Frederick A. and Mary C. Compton Steller.

She is survived by her mother Mary Steller of Galesburg, Ill., two brothers Bradford A. and his wife Krista Steller of Springfield, Ill. and Timothy N. Steller of Roscoe, Ill. surviving also are two nieces Erin Steller and Elizabeth Knoedler.

She was a Public Librarian for 40 years retiring in 2013.

Sue graduated from Galesburg High School in 1969 and Western Illinois University in 1995. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in church leadership, Western Illinois University Alumni, and ASPCA. She was an avid fan of thoroughbred horse racing, (especially fond of the horse Zenyatta), Illini Sports, and voracious reader and scholar of children’s literature. Sue loved all animals particulary her cats.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Len Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be . one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Guardian Angels Humane Society, or the Knox County Animal Shelter.
