Marilyn J. Nyman

Marilyn J. Nyman, age 81, of Wataga, Illinois died at 12:20 A.M. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois. 

Marilyn was born on November 11, 1934 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Loren and Sara (Miller) Annis.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, Illinois.  She married Dale Nyman on December 31, 1959 in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1991.

Surviving are two daughters: Tori (John) Bloomgren of Wataga, Illinois and Rhonda (Paul) Traff of Louisville, Kentucky; one son, Rodney (Stephanie) Nyman of Germany; One brother, Norman (Roseanne) Annis of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren: Travis Fisher, Colby Bloomgren, Marisa Bloomgren, Paul Traff, Jr., Lakin Traff, Kaylee Guth, Korey Nyman and Sam Nyman; one great grandson, Breaden Glass.. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Wataga, Illinois. She was a housekeeper in the area for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, Wataga, Illinois.  Rev. Robert Franek will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church.  Burial will take place in Wataga Cemetery, Wataga, Illinois.  Memorials can be made to the family.
