Lola Clara Williams, 74 of Abingdon, passed away at 3:28 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home with her family at her side.
She was born February 14, 1942 in Ballinger, Texas, the daughter of James and Mary Louise Norris Boothe. She married Walter Williams on July 30, 1974 in Oklahoma.
Lola’s family includes her husband Walter; her children, Robert Glen Williams of Abilene, Texas, Glenda-deceased (Billy) Bryan, Eeslie (David Durniak) Williams-O’Brien of Abingdon, Linda Williams of Abilene, Texas, Pam (Adam) Villereal of Pampa, Texas, Arminda (Johnny) Scott of Pampa, Texas and Mary (James Ball) Williams of Galesburg; 25 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren; one brother Henery Boothe of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Nancy (Lonnie-deceased) Easley of Skellytown, Texas, Francis (Billy) Wherly of Amarillo, Texas and Alcie May (Jeff) Smith of Lovington, New Mexico.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she has lived in Abingdon the past 24 years. Prior to that, she had lived in Gunnison, Colorado, Houston, Texas and Pampa, Texas. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made many items for her family and friends. She also enjoyed growing flowers, camping, fishing, hiking and just loving her family.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel followed by a prayer service led by Pastor Vince Marolla. Cremation will be accorded after the prayer service.
