Norma Jean E. Riley, age 75 of
Lincoln, Ill. formerly of Galesburg, Ill. died Thursday March 24, 2016 at 3:15
a.m. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
Jean was born May 11, 1940 in
Copley Township, Ill. the daughter of Norman Woodside and Imogene Ross
Woodside. She married Robert Riley.
She is survived by two
sons: Mark (and Rose Mary) Riley of Galesburg,
Ill. and Michael (and Tammy) Riley of Anderson, S.C., a daughter Tina (and
David) Babcock of East Galesburg, Ill., two brothers: Robert (and Joan)
Woodside of Galesburg, Ill., and Dale Woodside of Lincoln, Ill., a sister
Kathryn McDermott of Galesburg, Ill., two sister in law’s Loretta Woodside of
Oneida, Ill., and Connie Woodside of Nashville, Ill., twelve grandchildren and
four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and three
brothers Richard, Ross, and Larry.
Jean was raised in the
Oneida, Ill. area and attended ROVA High School, graduating in 1958. After a few years in Arizona, North Carolina
and Texas, she moved to Galesburg in 2006.
She was the Secretary/Receptionist to Bills Auto Trim for 16 years and
also worked at Wal-Mart when she lived in Texas.
Jean was a member of the
Calvary Assembly of God Church in Galesburg and presently a member of Faith
Assembly of God Church in Lincoln, Ill.. She enjoyed gardening.
Funeral Services will be 10
a.m. Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with
Pastor Darren Palmer officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7
p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial
services will be held Wednesday evening March 30, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Faith
Assembly of God Church 1225 Nicholson Road Lincoln, Ill.. In lieu of flowers
Jean had requested that memorials be given to the Faith Assembly of God Church
