Mrs. Beverly A. Ketner, age 81, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Friday
April 22, 2016 at 3:45 a.m. at Rosewood Care Center.
She was born May 12, 1934 in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Garrett
and Lurene Randall Heck. She was
previously married to Robert Horkstrom and later previously married to Ronald
Ketner.
Beverly is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Ketner) Lovdahl of
Galesburg and Robin (Ketner) and David Masterson of Bolingbrook, Illinois; four
brothers, Harry T. Heck of Gatesville, Texas, Larry Heck of Aledo, Garrett and
Laveta Heck of Rutledge, Missouri, and Charles and Pam Heck of Galesburg; one
sister, Brenda Heck of Rio, Illinois; five grandchildren; and 10 great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Verle Heck,
Blain Heck, and LeRoy Heck.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1952. She worked at Admiral for seven years, Wags
for eight years, was a nanny for 13 years, and worked at the Moline Airport
Deli for two years. Beverly taught
Horsemanship to the Girl Scouts, collected Beanie Babies, and she loved to cook
and sew. She was of the Methodist faith.
Cremation will be accorded with no services planned. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, or the Knox
