Mrs. Lorinda J. Barlow

Mrs. Lorinda J. Barlow, 74, of Galesburg went to her Savior in Heaven at 11:05 pm Friday, May 6, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center.

She was born February 19, 1942 in Galesburg the daughter of Evelyn J. Lawrence Markham and Gerald M. Markham. She married the love of her life, Richard L. Barlow. They were married 59 years before he preceded her in death on March 1, 2014.

She is survived by her three sons, Lynn (Lueann) Barlow of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Mark (Marsha) Barlow and Duane Barlow both of Galesburg; her daughter, Dawn Barlow of Galesburg; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Jessica, Richard, Jacob Barlow, Jordan (Zach) Barlow Hunt, Preston and Brody Barlow and Ryan Booton; two great grandsons, Josiah and Lelynn Barlow and her great granddaughter, Jasmine Booton.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, LeRoy Markham.

Lorinda was a homemaker for many years. Once her children were raised, she took over the family business as owner and co-operator of Grandview Restaurant with her husband for 19 years. She retired in 2000.  Lorinda graduated from Galesburg High School in 1961. She was baptized of the Catholic faith and later reaffirmed her baptism non-denominational faith.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Don Reynolds will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation will be accorded.
