Mr. Thomas Jefferson Dudman,
85, of Galesburg, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1930 in
Evanston, Illinois, the son of Thomas Adrian and Alice (Wilson) Dudman. He married Joann G. Hill October 26, 1957 in
Reno, Nevada.
He is survived by his wife of
58 years, Joann; a son, Thomas Wayne Dudman of Galesburg; a daughter, Marie R.
(and Ronald) Collinson of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Karla, Mike,
Robbie, and Mark; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Julie Ann
Dudman; a brother, Lewis Dudman; and a sister, Katy Rutledge.
Tom had worked for the Galesburg
Mental Health Center as a fireman in the coal room and also Hill Correctional
Center in the industries department. He
retired in 1995. He enjoyed gardening,
golfing, fishing, and hunting. Tom and
Joann wintered in Texas for 17 years.
Tom enjoyed spending time at the beach collecting seashells. He earned his GED in 1985.
Visitation will be 6 to 8
p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at
the chapel with Rev. M.J. Fitch officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may
