Julia M. Hull

Julia M. Hull, age 87, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at Galesburg's Seminary Manor Nursing Home on Friday July 22, 2016 at 9:25 am. Julia was born on July 5, 1929 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Raymond A and Gladys A Gaul Walker. She was raised in Galesburg, Illinois where she attended Galesburg Schools. She was married to Herman W. Hull on January 26, 1947 in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1997. Julia was a former member at the First Baptist Church of Monmouth, and currently is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Monmouth. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was active in the Red Cross Blood program. Julia enjoyed attending area music concerts, visiting with her friends, and helping wherever she was needed. She is survived by her sister, Ramona Allen of Roseville, IL and two daughter in laws, Sara and Audrey Hull both of Monmouth, Illinois. A number of Nieces and Nephews are also surviving.

Julia is preceded in her death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Lula Walker.

A funeral service will be at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth on Monday July 25, 2016 at 10:30 am. Her family plans a visitation and to receive friends at Turnbulls from 9:00 am to 10:30 am prior to the funeral service that day. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery beside her husband. A memorial fund is being established for either the Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth or the American Legion Auxiliary nurses scholarship fund.
