Joyce M. Stripe, 76 of
Jacksonville, IL passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016, at 1:20 p.m. at Prairie
Village Healthcare Center. She was born on October 13, 1939 in Little
York, IL the daughter of Arthur and Edith (Stark) Fry. She married
Ed D’zuro on March 16, 1968 in Monmouth, IL. He preceded her in
death on August 7, 1976 in Des Moines, IA. She later married Jack
Stripe on November 10, 1979 in Monmouth, IL. He
precededher in death on October 22, 2002 in Monmouth, IL.
She is survived by her
daughter, Heidi (Mike) Northrop of Jacksonville, IL; 3 Grandsons, Xavier,
Zander, and Vincent; numerous nieces and nephews that were very
special to her, as well as her best friends, Leota Grover of
Monmouth, IL, Maria Phillips and Pat Erickson of Jacksonville, IL.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, 2 husbands, her sisters, Clara (Herb)
Singleton, Margaret (Jack) Howell, Genevieve (Bob) Taylor and their husbands,
her brothers, Wilbur “Bud” (Joanne)Fry, Robert (Nellie) Fry, Arthur Dean
Fry, Gerald “Ron” Fry and their wives, as well as her nephews, Larry Taylor,
Wilbur “Buddy” (Debbie) Fry Jr. and Robert “Robbie” Martin.
Joyce worked in
restaurants for over 20 years. She was a school bus driver in
Monmouth, IL for 17 years. She loved country music, the Chicago Cubs,
cooking and bowling. She was a member of the First Christian Church in
Jacksonville, IL.
Graveside Service will
be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 10, 2016 in Warren County
Memorial Park Cemetery Monmouth, IL cremation rites have been
accorded. Memorials may be made to Wise Family ~ Hoover Hall Funeral Home. Please sign the online
