Leslie R. Goad, 56, of Monmouth,
IL, died at 7:48 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Gadsden, AL.
He was born on August 25, 1960 in
Clinton, IL, the son of Elmer and Twila (Jones) Goad. Les was raised and educated in Clinton, IL
and graduated from Clinton High School in 1978.
Les married Janet Bethell in
Clinton, IL on January 15, 1993, she survives.
Les worked as a truck driver with
G & D Trucking in Morton, IL for 7 years.
He has been driving the last 8 years for Omni Specialized LLC in Colona,
IL, formerly Tennent Trucking. Les
enjoyed camping, watching his children play softball, and spending time with
his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Janet
Goad of Monmouth, three daughters; Lindsay Goad of Galesburg, IL, Chelsea Goad
of Monmouth, and Tiffany Goad of Monmouth.
Also surviving are three grandchildren; Allison, Asher, and Darrius; one
brother, Rick Goad of Maroa, IL; two nephews, and his father Elmer (Carol) Goad
of Lane, IL.
He was preceded in death by his
mother.
A Gathering of Family &
Friends will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at McGuire &
Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Interment of his ashes will be in Monmouth Cemetery at a later
date. Memorials can be made to the Les
