Rebecca “Becky” Ann Jones

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Jones, 64, of Galesburg, died peacefully at Seminary Manor on October 25, 2016 at 6:17 a.m. after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer.

Becky was born January 13, 1952 in Galesburg, the daughter of Howard and Donna Oberheizer Alexander. She married Michael A. Jones on November 14, 1970 in Galesburg. Becky is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mike of Galesburg; two sons, Tim (Janae) Jones of Littleton, CO and Brian Jones of Galesburg; her mother, Donna Alexander of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Brittaney, Brandon, Anthony, Mariah, Christopher and Katie and a great grandson, Landon Isaiah. She was preceded in death by her father and her step father, Percy Alexander.

Becky worked as a sales manager for Sandhill Scientific for 30 years, retiring in 2013. Becky loved being outdoors. Her and Mike spent many years camping in Wisconsin. She enjoyed fishing, loved roses, and tending to her flowers at home. She enjoyed crocheting and needlework. Becky also had a love for horses and had attended Northwoods Community Church.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Stephen Descalzo will officiate. A celebration of life will follow the services at the Thomas Legacy Center. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
