Carole L. Lawson Herrmann,
81, of East Peoria, Illinois, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois, passed
away peacefully at 7:02 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Rosewood
Nursing Home in East Peoria surrounded by her family.
She was born July 19, 1935
in Plymouth, Illinois the daughter of Joseph G. and Mary Louise
Holstine Lawson. She married Ronald L. Foster November 6, 1955 in
Macomb, Illinois. She later married Lewis Fosco in 1984 in Peoria.
He preceded her in death. She then married William “Bill”
Herrmann June 15, 1995 in Metamora, Illinois. He preceded her in
death January 3, 2013.
Surviving is a daughter,
Rhonda Sturgeon of Galesburg, a brother, Ronald G. Lawson of Seaside,
California, six grandchildren, Tabitha (and Eric) Sundburg, Tara
Hillier, Trisha Hillier, Torrie Hillier, Tamara Diefendorf and Samuel
(and Heather) Diefendorf, 15 great grandchildren and one great great
grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter,
Crystal L. Foster on December 22, 2015, a brother, David Joseph “Joe”
Lawson and a sister, Marilyn McCoin.
Carole was a beautician
for 18 years in the Macomb and Galesburg area. She later worked as
Campus Police for District #150 for 18 years, Peoria High for 6 years
and Manual High for 12 years. She graduated from Western High in 1953
and beauty school in Chicago. She served as the state officer for the
Hairdresser Association. Carole enjoyed making jewelry out of beads.
Memorial services are
scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, November 11, 2016 at First Lutheran
Church. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. Visitation will be from
10:00-11:00 am at the church. Cremation will be accorded.
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with
arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or
