Jesse E. “Pete” Young
Jr., 73, of Galesburg, died at 8:58 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at
home.
He was born December 6,
1943, in Galesburg, the son of Jesse E. and Muriel E. (Arie) Young
Sr. He married Lynn Kelso August 27, 1988 in Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife
of 28 years, Lynn and his beloved cat, “Boo-Kat”. He was
preceded in death by his parents.
Pete was a painter by
trade, working for Pearson’s Decorating in Moline until retiring
December 14, 2005. He was a member of the Illinois State Painters
Union Local 502. He graduated from Galesburg High School.
Cremation will be
accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research
Hospital. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation
Services of Galesburg is handling arrangements for the family.
