Patricia Holsinger, 82, of
Monmouth, passed away at 12:35 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Galesburg
Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.
She was born October 2, 1934 in
Ponemah, IL, the daughter of Clinton Charles and Marguerite Elnora (Smith)
Shamblin. She was raised and educated in Kirkwood, graduating from Kirkwood
High School in 1953.
Patricia married Jack Stotler on
December 25, 1954. She later married Willard
Holsinger on January 1, 1978 and he passed away on May 8, 2000.
Patricia worked at the County
Farm, the Warren County Nursing Home and Monmouth Hospital as a Certified
Nursing Assistant. Following her
retirement she was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her grandkids.
She loved to watch wrestling and
making quilts for her grandchildren. She
enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, cooking holiday dinners and spending time with
her family.
Survivors include her 9 children,
Beverly (Rodney) Teel of Monmouth, Mary Chambers of Monmouth, Robert (Kathleen)
Stotler of Monmouth, David Stotler of Arkansas, Debbie (Rex) Mettler of
Monmouth, Joseph Stotler of Monmouth, Paula (Kevin) Mackey of Oquawka, Sandy
DeWeese of Macomb and Willie Holsinger of Monmouth; numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Dale Shamblin of
Monmouth, Charles Shamblin and Len Shamblin both of Galesburg; 1 sister, June
(Noel) Grabowski of Galesburg; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, 2 sons, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Graveside committal services will
be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Silent Home Cemetery, Cameron.
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at McGuire and Davies Funeral
Home and Crematory, Monmouth. In Lieu of
flowers memorials in Patricia’s name may be given to McGuire & Davies
