Carl E. Teel

Carl E. Teel age 92 of Bushnell, IL passed away at 8:28 A.M. Sunday February 26, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Bushnell, IL.  He was born on August 14, 1924 in Industry, IL to Edgar and Clara Sherrill Teel.  He married Mary Wilson in Macomb, IL on July 6, 1947 and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2003.  Carl is survived by 1 Son and 1 Daughter – Dale Teel and Carol Jean (Gerald) Schmidt and Daughter-in-law Janice Teel all of Bushnell, IL, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by 2 Sisters – Thelma Montgomery of Milan, IL and Patricia Mayo of Plymouth, IL.  He was also preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Son (Earl), 1 Brother, and 1 Sister. 

Earl was a World War II Army Veteran and a life time member of the Bushnell V.F.W.  He was a union sheet metal worker and he owned Teel Disposal from 1966 – 1988.  

Carl donated his body to science and his ashes will be buried at a later date.  There will be a meal and Celebration of his Life at the Bushnell V.F.W. beginning at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday March 5, 2017.  Memorial contributions may be made to MDH Hospice.  Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, IL is in charge of arrangements.  Please sign the guestbook or leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
