Judith K. Boyer, 70, of Monmouth died at 6:07 p.m. Tuesday,
February 7, 2017 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth.
She was born May 1, 1946 in Peoria, IL the daughter of John E.
and Phyllis K. (Stromire) McIntyre. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and
graduated from Warren High School in 1964 and later attended Brown’s Business
College in Davenport.
Judy married Kenneth L. Boyer on December 5, 1965 in
Monmouth at the First United Methodist Church and he survives.
Judy worked as a secretary for Warren Achievement for 28
years and later for PitBoss Trailers in Kewanee before retiring in 2013.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Monmouth. She enjoyed painting and cross
stitch. Judy loved attending the many
events of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Monmouth; 2
children, Scott (Janice) Boyer of Monmouth and Brenda (Jamey) Cornell of
Alexis, IL; grandsons, John and Brian Boyer and her granddaughter, Kaylee
Cornell; her sister, Nancy (Bill) Clayton of Monmouth; brother in law, Larry
(Jackie) Boyer of Altoona, IA; nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017
at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home
from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Memorials may be
given to the First United Methodist Church of Monmouth or Warren County Special
