Mona S. Harding

Mona S. Harding, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 3:05 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her home.

She was born June 22, 1935 in Big Shoal, Kentucky the daughter of Arlie and Malta Cornett Spencer. She married Richard Harding on November 28, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives. She had previously married Verne Sward on August 5, 1957 in Streator, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1983.

Also surviving are her children, David Sward of Galesburg and Linda Sward of Chester, Illinois; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arlie Spencer, Jr. and her sister, Jan Stefaniak.

Mona worked for the Admiral/Maytag Corporation for over 19 years, retiring on March 31, 1992. She graduated from high school from Stuart Robinson, Kentucky. Mona was a member of the Allen Park Baptist Church.

Private family graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Bull will officiate. There will be no visitation.
