Ann Marie Hodgen, 84, of Monmouth, IL passed away Wednesday,
April 5, 2017, 1:45 p.m. at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She
was born Sunday, May 15, 1932, in Springfield, IL the daughter of John and Marie
(Wilkerson) Wilson. She married Robert Hodgen on November 2, 1951, in
Springfield, IL.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Laurie
(Kurt) Allen and Jane Wade both of Monmouth, IL; one son Terry (Bonnie) Hodgen
of Cameron, IL; 4 grandchildren Keith Allen, Morgan Hodgen, Ben Wade and Ethan
Wade; one brother David (Peggy) Wilson of Springfield, IL; and several nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children in
infancy (Dennis Keith Hodgen and Delores Jean Hodgen), 5 brothers and 3
sisters.
Ann was born, raised and educated in Springfield, IL.
She graduated from Lamphier High School in 1950. She was a homemaker and
a caregiver for elderly women in Monmouth. She loved gardening and spending
time with her family. When her children were younger she was active as a
Den Mother and a Girl Scout Leader. Ann was of Presbyterian faith and was
a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial
will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
