Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Becraft, 78, of Roseville, IL passed away Thursday,
April 20, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. He was born September 4, 1938 in Macomb IL...the
son of Kenneth (Joe) and Hester (Fidler) Becraft. He married Carol Ann
Babcock on September 7, 1958 and was happily married for the last 59 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children David Wayne (Jodi)
Becraft of Baraboo, WI, Kenneth Edward (Cindy Perkins) Becraft of Knoxville,
IL, Steven Michael (Jeanne) Becraft of Oilville, VA and Richard Allen (Jauna)
Becraft of Baraboo, WI; grandchildren Amanda (Strashe) Petrov, Ashley Becraft,
Joe Becraft, Nathan (Mallory) Becraft, Mitchell Becraft, Mary Becraft, Anne
Becraft, Sarah Becraft, Grace Becraft, Kaleb (Jamie) Becraft, Amber (Patrick)
Flint, Matthew Becraft; great grandchildren Camille Flint, Meredith Flint and
Benjamin Becraft. He was preceded in
death by his parents, daughter in-law (Ellen Becraft), great grandson Macen Petrov.
Jerry served in the Illinois National Guard from 1956-1969, where he earned
the rank of Captain. He had a career managing lumber yards for the
Alexander Family in both Roseville, IL and Baraboo, WI. He was an active member
of the United Method Church with a passion for mission trips. Jerry loved retirement, eating seafood on the
Fort Myers coast, driving his big red tractor for Killey Farms and traveling
the world with family and friends. His
biggest joy and interest beyond his family was Roseville Boy Scout Troop 336
where he served and supported the youth of Roseville for over 45 years.
Funeral service will be Monday April 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Roseville
United Methodist Church Roseville, IL. Visitation will be Sunday evening
April 23, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery Roseville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Roseville United
Methodist Church, and/or Boy Scout Troop 336. Please
