Roy L. “Corky” Rednour, 89, of Galesburg, Illinois died 2:55 p.p. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Peoria, Illinois.
He
was born March 12, 1928 in Culter, Illinois to Theodore and Daisy
Higgerson Rednour. He married Sally Miller May 6, 1949 in Galesburg.
Surviving
is his wife of 68 years, two sons, Joe (and Tina) Rednour of Galesburg
and Cecil (and Joyce) Rednour of Galesburg, two daughters, Pam Daniels
of Galesburg and Debbie (and Jack) Lawson of Ft. Madison,
Iowa, twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and a son in law, Gary Daniels.
Corky
attended Willisville High School, Willisville, Illinois. He worked at
Maytag Manufacturing Company in Galesburg for 38 years and retired in
March of 1990. He was a member of Grace Anglican Church,
Galesburg. He enjoyed bowling and hunting.
Funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Andy Ainley will
officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.
Visitation
will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the chapel.
