Timothy L. “Tim” Chick, 24, of
Monmouth, IL, passed away at 12:55 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home.
Tim was born February 16, 1993 in
Monmouth, IL the son of Rick D. and Dina L. (Neal) Chick. He was raised and educated in Monmouth,
graduating from Monmouth-Roseville High School in 2011. He later studied Criminal Justice at Carl
Sandburg College in Galesburg.
Tim was a full time student and
worked as a merchandiser in Monmouth for G & M Distributors. He also assisted his grandpa, Terry Neal,
doing masonry work.
Tim loved all sports with his
favorite teams being the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and
the New York Yankees, He was very active playing football, basketball, baseball
as well as playing on numerous Men’s Slow Pitch Softball Leagues.
Survivors include his parents,
Rick & Dina Chick; brother, Derrick Chick; paternal grandma, Sherry Chick;
maternal grandparents, Terry & Marsha Neal all of Monmouth; several aunts,
uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
grandpa, Howard Chick; great grandparents, Ernie & Dollie Neal, Lawrence
& Dorothy Bennett and Harold & Betty Chick.
Funeral services will be 10:00
am, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory,
Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday,
June 16, 2017 at the funeral home from 4:00- 7:00 pm. Tim’s family requests
that you wear the team colors or logo of his favorite sports teams. A memorial fund has been established to be
