Eric E. Pearce, 34, of
Jacksonville, IL, formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 11:53 a.m., Saturday,
April 18, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
He was born on October 24, 1980
in Galesburg, IL, and is the son of Jeffrey Richard and Lori Jean (Bratcher)
Pearce.
Eric worked at the Day Program at
Pathway Services in Jacksonville doing janitorial work and life skills. He lived at the Pathway Group Home in Jacksonville.
Eric loved food; he enjoyed
pizza, chicken, ham, tacos, cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, and Little Debbie
zebra cakes. Eric enjoyed cleaning and
doing household chores. He loved music,
especially Madonna and his favorite song was “Our House” by Madness. Eric liked to play cards, go bowling,
swimming, and watch TV and movies. He
enjoyed the holidays especially Thanksgiving because of all the food, Christmas
because of the “Ho Ho” and the 4th of July because he loved
fireworks. Eric enjoyed looking through
advertisement ads. Most of all, he loved
to spend time and visit with his family and friends.

Lori (Rod) Fox of Stronghurst, IL, Jeff (Terri) Pearce of Galesburg, IL; one
brother, Blake Fox of Stronghurst; two sisters, Heidi Pearce of Monmouth,
Brittany (Dustin) Smith of Gladstone, IL; step sister, Brook Bolender of
Galesburg; maternal grandparents, Gene (Helen) Bratcher of Monmouth, Wendell
(Hazel) Fox of Stronghurst; paternal grandparents, Dick (Betty) Pearce of
Monmouth. Also surviving are his aunts; Joyce (Todd)
Line of Seaton, IL, Kim (Wayne) McLaughlin of Monmouth, and Jolynne Pearce of
Monmouth, Donna (Steve) Cargill of Morton, IL; uncles, Joe (Renee) Bratcher of
Monmouth, Mike (Cheryl) Bratcher of Texas, and Randy (Grace) Fox of Burlington,
IA.; two nephews, Zach and Jackson Smith of Gladstone, and niece Aayvie Adams
of Galesburg, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
great grandparents.
Funeral Services will be
10:30a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and
Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be
in Warren County Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at
McGuire and Davies Funeral Home, where his family will be present to receive
friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Memorials
