Nathaniel Leigh Carroll

Nathaniel Leigh Carroll, 27, of Galesburg formerly of London Mills passed away at 9:32 PM Saturday April 25, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1987 in Peoria, IL the son of Joanne and Shane Burnett. 

He is survived by his parents, five siblings, Elizabeth (Jamie) Derry; Breanne Burnett; Eric and Chad Carroll; Kim Bowlin; one nephew Ethan, niece Emileigh, niece and special football buddy Trinity; grandmother and roomie Carol Tinder; aunts and uncles, Joy (Ron) Williams; Teresa (Jamie) Rossmiller; Roganne (Mike) Johnson; cousins, Tara (Joe) Coulter; Natalie (Darnell Brown) Doubet; Roger and Eben Rossmiller; McKayla, Sean and Madison Johnson; Dylan and Brayden Howard and Abbie Doubet. Nathaniel also leaves behind a second family Andrea Frances, the Butlers and many best friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roger Tinder and great grandparents LeVerne and Gladys Young. 

Nathaniel was a 2007 graduate of Spoon River Valley High School. He then studied ministry at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO. He was an active leader in the church youth group. He was a dedicated worshiper at Summum Church. Nathaniel was an avid Chicago Bears fan and was a collector of foreign coins, movies, comic books and comic memorabilia. Nathaniel lived his life for others and is fulfilling his last wish by helping others threw his donation to Gift of Hope. 

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday May 10, 2015 at the Spoon River Valley High School Gymnasium.
