Barbara “Barb” E. Singleton, 56, of Prairie City, IL passed away at 2:20 PM Friday May 8, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1958 in Bushnell, IL to William Dale and Iona Doreen (Smith) Lockwood. She married Tom E. Singleton on April 19, 1980 in Bushnell, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, Robert Lockwood of Prairie City, IL; Tina Singleton Brown of Bushnell, IL; Kathy Singleton of Prairie City, IL; four grandchildren; and one brother, Dale A. Lockwood of Prairie City, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara enjoyed flowers and gardening especially Roses and Lilacs. Together Tom and Barb enjoyed spending time on the CB Radio; Barbs call sign was “Turkey.” Barb was most fond of her time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed all children having adopted numerous kids and grandkids throughout the years.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday May 11, 2015 at the Greenbush Cemetery with Rev. Rick Weiss officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the family of Barb Singleton.
