She was born November 10, 1924 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Wayne and Fern Folkland. She married Delbert Wells on August 14, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by two sons, Tom (Rosemary) Humphrey and Ron (Loretta) Wells both of Galesburg and her daughter, Carol (Harold) Wensel of Galesburg; her brother, Bob Folkland of Galesburg; seven grandchildren, thrirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson, Todd Neal Wells on January 21, 1969.
Dorothy first worked for Meadow Gold. She then worked as a salesperson for Personally Yours for over 26 years and later worked for Jeanie’s Lingerie. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for FISH.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. LeRoy Torres will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ or FISH. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences amy be made at www.h-p-w.com
