William R. Rehling

William R. Rehling, son of Joseph and Esther Rehling, passed away on May 17. 2015. Bill was an Associate Professor in the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University for 19 years. He was also the administrator of a juvenile justice certification course for policemen through the Illinois Law Enforcement Center. Prior to that, he was an Assistant States Attorney in Cook County and was Head of the Juvenile Division under Richard M. Daley. Bill was a graduate of DePaul University and DePaul University College of Law. He is survived by his loving companion of 47 years Louise Rehling (nee Hechtman), brother Joseph (Jeannine), and sister Phyllis Howard (Michael), nieces Kristyn Estes (Byron), Julie Rehling Rosenwinkel (Chuck), and Lynn Korwek (Jerry), and nephews David Howard, Brian Howard, Eric Howard (Deanne), and Gregory Howard. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Heart Association. Services will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave Munster, IN on Saturday May 23 at 10am. Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL. is in charge of arrangements.
