Rosanne Agnes McIlravy

Rosanne Agnes McIlravy, 99, of Galesburg, died at 12:40 P.M. Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Galesburg.

Rosanne was born April 19, 1916 in Galesburg, the daughter of James Edward and Elizabeth H. Mattimore Watters.

Rosanne is survived by one daughter, Margaret Ann McIlravy of Chicago.  She was preceded in death by her son, John Paul McIlravy, her parents, and one brother, James Watters.

Rosanne was a devout and active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and led praying of the rosary for many years.  She was also a member of the National Catholic Order of Foresters and was a member of the Third Order of Lay Carmelite’s.  Before retirement, she had been employed for many years at A. Rinella and Sons Produce Co., Rowe Manufacturing, and Admiral.

A Funeral Mass was held for Rosanne on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  Rev. William T. Miller, IC officiated.  Burial followed in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorial contributions in Rosanne’s memory can be made to Corpus Christi Church.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
