Mary Christine Jacobs

Mary Christine Jacobs, age 53 of rural Biggsville, Illinois passed away at 9:31 p.m. Saturday October 24, 2015 at her home. She was born August 22, 1962 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Lillian Peterson Jacobs.

Mary was a 1982 graduate of Union High School in Biggsville. She was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan, and loved country music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one sister, Karen Jacobs of Biggsville, four brothers, Don Jacobs of Anchorage, AK, Steve Jacobs and Richard Jacobs, both of Biggsville, Michael (Lisa) Jacobs of Stronghurst, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.


Private graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 26, 2015 in the Stronghurst Cemetery. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Biggsville Ambulance Service and OSF Hospice. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is in charge of arrangements.
