Andrea D. Dutton

Andrea D. Dutton, age 71, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 6:00 am. She was born on August 29, 1944 in Worcester, MA and is the daughter of Hugo and Mamie (Brooks) Aho. Andrea lived and attended school in Worcester until the age of 13. Her family then moved to the Little York area and she attended schools there, graduating from Yorkwood High School with the class of 1962. She was married to Jerry Lee Dutton on September 9, 1962 in the Sugar Tree Grove United Presbyterian Church and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2006. Andrea began work as a daycare provider in her home for a number of years. She also worked as a teacher's aide at Warren Achievement School. Andrea worked many years for the U.S. Postal Service, first as a mail carrier and finally as an office clerk until her retirement in 2009. She was a long time member of the Sugar Tree Grove United Presbyterian Church. Andrea will be remembered as a loving, Christian friend to all. She is survived by two sons, Charles L. (Michelle) Dutton and Jerry L. (Stacy) Dutton Jr. both of Kirkwood, IL, one daughter, Kristina Selquist of Peru, IL, five grandsons, Matt and Nate Dutton, Anthony and Brian Robbins, Jakob Selquist, two granddaughters, Emily Dutton, and Lea Selquist, sister Linda (Patrick) Gilligan of Pacific, MO, one brother, and her special friend, Gary Cunningham of Aledo, IL. Andrea is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
A funeral service is planned for 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family will be present to receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sugar Tree Grove Cemetery of rural Monmouth, IL.
