Lonnie R. Bigger Jr., age 68, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 am on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at his residence in Biggsville. He was born on December 23, 1946 in Biggsville, the son of Lonnie R. and Betty J. (Rogers) Bigger Sr. He was reared and educated in the Biggsville and Gladstone area. Lonnie was previously married to Rhonda Ramsden. Lonnie also had a long standing relationship with Bonnie Oaks and they shared many special years together. He began work for Dave Holford as a farm hand. After Dave's death, he worked for Don Holford for a time. Lonnie worked as the dog catcher and Gulfport Town Marshall for the City of Gulfport for a number of years. Horses were a passion of Lonnie's life and he was a owner of the L and B Stables. Lonnie loved trail riding, horse shows, and attending sales. He never missed an episode of "General Hospital". Lonnie loved his family and spending time together with them. He often planned the family reunions. Lonnie is survived by his daughter; Keli (Billy) Cline of Burlington, IA, two sisters; Peg Bigger of West Burlington, IA and Mary Bigger of Gladstone, IL, four grandchildren; Andrew Adams, Wendy Corvaia, William Cline, and Willow Cline. Numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews also survive. Lonnie had many close friends, Chrissy Smith, Brian Smith, Jimmy Rogers, Phyllis Johnson, and Amy Koger. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Virgil, Brace, Terry, and Dino, sister; Ruth Bigger, niece Wendy Bigger, and nephew Brace Bigger.
A funeral service is planned for 10:30 am on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Biggsville, Illinois. His family plans a visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Biggsville Township Cemetery.
