Sally Jean Louise Christianson

Sally Jean Louise Christianson, 18, of Wataga, died Friday, November 13, 2015.

She was born August 23, 1997, in Galesburg, to David and Patricia Christianson, of Wataga, Illinois.  She was homeschooled through high school and attended Carl Sandburg College.

Sally longed to travel.  She loved music--she sang, played guitar, bass, and banjo.  A member of the American Motorcycle Association, she was a flat-track racer.  She was a charter member of Pride of the Family, a Vasa Order of America Swedish culture club for youth.  She enjoyed working at "baked" pizza, and at The Beanhive coffeehouse, both in Galesburg.  She considered following her dad in a career in the Building Trades and Construction Industry.

Sally is survived by her grandmother, Darlene Christianson of Galesburg, widow of Donald F. Christianson.  Surviving, also, are her parents, David and Patti of Wataga; her three brothers, Josh Christianson of Galesburg, Bill Christianson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Isaac (and Christina, and their son Malik) Christianson of Joplin, Missouri.  She is survived by her three sisters, Mary Christianson and Natalie Christianson, residing in Galesburg, and Brooke Cart in Salina, Kansas.  Sally is survived by her uncles and aunts, Brian (and Jean) Christianson of Lakewood, Colorado, Sally (and Bob) Mangoff of Granite City, Illinois, Mark (and Barb) Johnson of Abingdon, Illinois, Sally (and Fredrick) Cole of Galesburg, Jim (and Barb) Henn of Bemidji, Minnesota, and Sharon (and Kevin) Peabody of Taylorville, Illinois.

Visitation will be at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel from 9:30 to11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 with Doug Boock leading graveside services in Wataga Cemetery at noon, followed by a potluck gathering at the Wataga-Oneida Fire Station.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
