Ronald Lee Howard, age 62, of Galesburg, Illinois formerly of Dahinda, Illinois died December 14, 2015 at 3:55 A.M. at Heartland Health Care Center of Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on December 18, 1952 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Calvin and Bev Smith Howard. He attended and graduated from Williamsfield High School. He married Dee Stevens on March 6, 1976 in Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving is one daughter: Laura (Kyle) Sauter of Peoria, Illinois and one son, Tyson Howard of Peoria, Illinois; two grandchildren: Kenley and Kaiden Sauter of Peoria, Illinois; one sister: Judy (Dale) Lambert of Dahinda, Illinois and one brother, Scott Howard of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked for the Dan Stevens Insurance Agency in Williamsfield, Illinois, then owned and operated the agency until he retired. He was a member of 40 & 8 and the Williamsfield American Legion Post #371 of Williamsfield, Illinois. He enjoyed golfing and volunteer work, such as driving the VA handy van.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Dahinda, Illinois, with Rev. Jennifer Seder officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Dahinda, Illinois. Military rites will be conducted by the Williamsfield American Legion Post #371. Memorials may be made to the Dahinda United Methodist Church or the Williamsfield American Legion Post #371.
