Mr. William Dean Witt, 72, of
Altona, Illinois, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at home.
He was born November 12, 1943
in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of Carl W. and June Cooley Witt. He married Karen Shaw on October 24, 1987 in
Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving is his wife, Karen
of Altona; three sons, Thomas (Kay) Witt of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Brad
(Carrie) Witt of Hillsborough County, Florida, and Jerid (Andrea) Smith of Altona,;
three daughters, Laura (Randy Bauer) Anthonasin of Fond du Lac, Dena (fiancé
Kevin) Witt of Reeseville, Wisconsin, and Christina (Gary) Williams of Altona;
two brothers, Terry (Robin) Witt of Wilson, Wisconsin and Myron (Bim) Witt of
Chugwater, Wyoming; one sister, Judy Ferber of Prairie Farm, Wisconsin; four
grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; one
son, Eddie Smith in 2006; and one brother, Ken Witt.
He was a driver for Renzenberger
Transportation for the railroad. He had
also worked for Johnson Contracting in East Moline, Illinois. He graduated from high school in Menomonie,
Wisconsin. He was a member of the United
Church of Altona.
Visitation will be 10 to 11
a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016, at Hinchliff-Pearosn-West Galesburg
Chapel. Graveside will follow at 11:30
a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Altona.
Rev. David Pyell will officiate.
