Emily R. Curry, 89, of
Knoxville, Illinois passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday,
November 19, 2016, at her home.
She was born on October 3,
1927 in Trivoli, Illinois, the daughter of George and Elizabeth
Severt Hunt. She married Robert Curry on July 20, 1946 in Knoxville,
Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1997.
Emily is survived by her
children; Ronald D. (Renee) Curry of Knoxville, Illinois, Robert E.
(Gloria) Curry of Nunnelly, Tennessee and Sue E. (Kenneth) Jackson of
Frostproof, Florida, twelve grandchildren, twenty-six
great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, her husband, one son; Kenneth Curry, four brothers,
one sister, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
She attended school in
Dahinda and Williamsfield. Emily worked for several motels as
housekeeper, she worked in laundry at Cottage Hospital and Emily also
worked for the Dixie Cream Bakery. She enjoyed spending her time
sewing, fishing, baking and being a part of bowling leagues.
A graveside service will
be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Knoxville Cemetery
in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Michel D. Clark. will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family or a charity of the donor`s
