Robert E. “Bobby” Dickason

Robert E. “Bobby” Dickason, 59, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth. 

                  

He was born March 17, 1958 in Macomb, IL, the son of Harold E. and Wanda L. (Kalebaugh) Dickason.  Bobby was raised and educated in the Monmouth area, graduating from Warren High School in 1976.

Bobby married Sandy Longwell on July 27, 1998 in Monmouth, IL, she survives.

Bobby worked at Sharkey Transportation in Galesburg, IL, as the Shop Manager for over 20 years.  He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, going camping, 4-wheeling, and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Dickason of Monmouth; one daughter, Shelby Carlson of Little York, IL; three grandchildren, Jordan, Levi, Brooklyn; one step daughter Beth (Gibbs) Glisson of New Berlin, IL; three step grandchildren, Taylor, Dalton, Isabel; his brother, Larry (Nancy) Lashbrook of Rushville, IL; his sister, Joetta (Jess) Fisher of Galesburg; his mother-in-law, Nancy Longwell of Mt. Grove, MO; one sister-in-law, Carol (Tom) Miller of Mt. Grove, MO; his dog, Gussy,  and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Dickason; father-in-law, Robert Longwell; and brother-in-law, Ed Longwell.
