Diana Smizer

Diana Smizer, 66 of Canton, IL passed away Saturday November 15, 2014, 7:15 pm at Heartland Health Care Center Canton, IL. She was born November 5, 1948 in Canton, IL the daughter of Bernard and Deloris Rogers Tracey.

She is survived by her mother Deloris Wardell; three children Tracey (George) Loveland, Kelly Large, and Virginia (James) Bruketta; 9 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one sister Pamela Derry-Grubb, and one brother Kevin Tracey. She was preceded in death by her father and 1 sister.
She graduated Cuba High School in 1966. She taught Adult Literacy. She was an LPN and later received her Bachelors as an RN through Spoon River College and St. Francis School of Nursing. She belonged to Smithfield Nazarene Church. She worked as a Home Health Nurse. She also worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections in Canton, IL for 8 years in the Nursing department .
The family will host a Celebration of Life will be on Saturday December 6, 2014, 10:00 am., at the Assembly of God Church in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s in Peoria, IL.
