Raymond
R. MacDonald, Jr. age 89, of Dahinda, Illinois died at 3:34 A.M. on
Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home in Oak Run, Dahinda, Illinois.
He
was born on September 23, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Raymond
R. and Blanche Leach MacDonald, Sr. He married Linda S. Lawson on
January 6, 1961 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Surviving
is his wife, Linda of Dahinda, Illinois; one daughter, Marcy D. Easley
of Ipava, Illinois, and two sons, Raymond R. (Jeanie) MacDonald III of
Mesa, Arizona, and Christopher L. MacDonald of Plainfield, Illinois;
five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents.
He was a salesman in the agricultural industry. He served in the United States Army in World War II.
Memorial
services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the
Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Visitation will be
held one hour prior to the memorial services at the Hurd-Hendricks
Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Inurnment will be held at a later
date. In-lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dahinda United
Methodist Church or OSF Hospice. Online condolences and sympathy cards
