He was born on July 27, 1949 in Macomb, the son of Roy and Francis Bellville Day.
Tom is survived by two daughters, Diana (Jeff) Carman of Colona and
Nancy Day of Springfield, Missouri; three sons, Matthew (Nicole) Pollard
of Cambridge, Christopher (Jennifer) Pollard of Geneseo and Kevin Day
of Abingdon; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and one
brother, Bill (Edie) Day of LaCygne, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Day.
He graduated from Avon High School in 1968. Tom worked as a welder at
Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg for 31 years, retiring in 2002. He
loved playing darts, listening to “oldies” music and spending time with
his family and his two dogs.
As he requested, cremation will be accorded with a private service to
be held at a later date. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in
charge of arrangements.
