Louise H. Harriman, 90, of Knoxville, Illinois formerly of Wataga, Illinois died at 11:10 am Friday, December 12, 2014 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
She was
born January 23, 1924 in Galesburg the daughter of Samuel Sterritt
Emma Etta Davis Bogard. She married James Lowell Swanson in Kahoka,
Missiouri in 1942. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1971. She
later married James Harriman. He also preceded her in death.
She is
survived by her son, James (Caren) Swanson of Wataga; her daughter,
Luan (Russ) Gustafson of Wataga; four grandchildren Jamie (Jeff)
Maher, Staci (Troy) Simpson both of Wataga, Cory Ward of Galesburg,
and Jim Haptonstall of Davenport, Ia., one step grandson Wes (Sarah)
Jacobson of Kewanee, Ill., and seven great grandchildren Jaci,
Jordan, Hunter, Josh, Chezni, Charley, and Keegan.. She is preceded
in death by her parents, her husbands, three brothers and five
sisters.
Louise was
a homemaker. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1941. She
was a member of the Wataga Congregational Church. She was a member of
the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling,playing
bingo and playing cards and spending time with her family.
Funeral
services are scheduled for 1:30 pm Tuesday December 16, 2014 at
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will
officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior the the service at the
chapel. Burial will be in Wataga Cemetery. Memorials may be made to
the Wataga Congregational Church or to the American Legion Auxiliary.
