Marilyn J.
Hambleton, 64, of Galesburg, died at 9:13 a.m. Friday, December 12,
2014 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was
born April 21, 1950 in Galesburg, the daughter of Carl O. and
Caroline C. (Hites) Hamilton. She married Randall G. Hambleton on
June 17, 1999 in Galesburg.
She is
survived by her husband, Randy; a son, Thomas Rogers of Galesburg; a
sister, Virginia (and Larry) Piper of O’Fallon, Illinois; and many
extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn
worked at Rogers Brothers for over 30 years. She then worked as a
CNA at Hawthorne Inn for five years before retiring due to her
illness. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1968 and
attended Carl Sandburg College. Marilyn was a member of First United
Methodist Church. She and Randy enjoyed golfing at Bunker Links.
Cremation
will be accorded. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Thursday,
December 18, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.
Graveside services will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
