Mary Ann
Griffith, 78, of Galesburg, died at 2:19 a.m. Saturday, December 13,
2014 at home.
She was
born April 23, 1936 in Galesburg the daughter of Phil R. and Mary L.
Griffith.
She is
survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis
Bickerstaff.
Mary Ann
was a teacher for Galesburg School District 205 for over 30 years.
She taught at Hitchcock and Lincoln schools and retired in 1994. She
graduated from Galesburg High School and Western Illinois University.
Mary Ann was a member of Covenant Church.
Funeral
will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Thomas Ek will
officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the
chapel. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery. Memorials may be made
